BE A PART OF A DYNAMIC AND DIVERSE ORGANIZATION AS A PROGRAM COORDINATOR FOR THE EXPRESSWAY CYBERSECURITY PLUS BRIDGING PROGRAM, BRAMPTON

This is a full-time non-union contract position scheduled to work 35 hours per week.

Duties:

  • Provides guidance and support to Expressway Cybersecurity Plus program participants including assessment of needs and skills ensuring program standards and procedures are met.
  • Coordinate for training, experiential learning or skills development opportunities that help participants meet requirements for their chosen field or career.
  • Coordinates all project activities for online delivery including assessments, referrals, guest speakers, networking, work placement coordination and follow up support.
  • Liaises with and conduct outreach; communicates with community partners for client intake, assessment, placement, and client referrals.
  • Coordinate online workshop delivery; monitor client attendance and troubleshoot activities in breakout rooms.
  • Creates, organizes, and maintains operational files online.
  • Ensures weekly, monthly, and quarterly component deliverables are met.
  • Identifies and where applicable resolves programming concerns and issues.
  • Develop, track and monitor client feedback surveys and assists manager in the evaluation of the program services.
  • Recommends and implements outreach strategies to recruit participants and to establish relevant contacts within the community.
  • Assists in the recruitment of employers for mock interviews, job placements and where possible paid employment.
  • Tabulates, compiles, verifies, and formulates statistical and narrative reports.
  • Data entry using CIS, CaMS and other funder/agency databases.
  • Plans, implements, and facilitates online workshops via MS Teams, Zoom and other online tools.
  • Coordinates centre wide events such as job fairs and open house activities.
  • Train and support volunteers/placement students.
  • Performs other administrative duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Career and Work Diploma or Social Services Diploma or diploma in Business Administration, Human Resource, or related discipline
  • 2 years’ experience in non-profit administration and supervision or 1 year experience in coordinating or administering employment bridge training program.
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor program activity to ensure the provision of quality service in meeting program objectives and achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise with community organizations and government.
  • Well-developed organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Sensitive to and aware of the multicultural community and the social problems facing immigrants.
  • Ability to communicate in languages other than English is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exceptional multitasking skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, EOIS/CaMS and email is essential. Working familiarity with on-line tools and data base resources an asset.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for business travel.
  • Must be available to work some evenings & weekends.
  • Required to provide a valid Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) Police check. The VSS must have been completed within the past 6 months.
  • Must be fully vaccinated or exempt from vaccination on human rights grounds. COSTI reserves the right to require information establishing the validity of the exemption.
